Introducing the Tungsten Wacky Rig!
Since it's made of tungsten, our Wacky Head Jigs provide a much sleeker profile than its lead counterparts. They are also fmore sensitive to alert you subtle bites and to keep those weeds off and fish on.
Why use tungsten fishing weights?
Tungsten has gained a lot of popularity recently. Tungsten uses about 50% less material than lead for the same amount of weight. This means a 1-ounce tungsten weight has a smaller volume, letting it penetrate weeds easier, and a small profile for attracting more bites. Also, tungsten is more dense than lead. This makes your finesse fishing more sensitive. It transmits vibrations differently depending on if you're fishing in mud, rock or wood.
Advantages of tungsten fishing weights
- Small volume
- High density makes tungsten fishing weights smaller than the conventional lead fishing weights. It will be hung up far less with a tungsten than with a lead sinker because of its smaller size.
- Hardness
- It's harder than lead fishing weight. Due to the high density of tungsten, the tungsten fishing weight makes your fishing easier. It is extremely sensitive and can actually help you “feel” what the bottom is made of and what your bait is bumping into, such as brush, rocks, mud, etc.
- Tungsten fishing weights are an ideal upgrade to any tackle box and are environmentally friendly. Lead is toxic and more and more lead is being marked as an environmental hazard.
